HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance_94_10/13/1964 ORDINANCE NO. 94 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF FLORIDA LAWS, 1961 CHAPTER 61 -2944 TO ANNEX THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED UNINCORPORATED AND CONTIGUOUS TRACT OF LAND, SITUATE, LYING AND BEING IN THE COUNTY OF PALM BEACH, STATE OF FLORIDA, TO -WIT: A parcel of land in Government Lots 1 and 2, Section 30, Township 40 South, Range 43 East, Palm Beach County, Florida, described as follows: Starting at a point where the North line of said Section 30 intersects the centerline of U. S. Highway No. 1 (State Road No. 5) and run southeasterly along said centerline a distance of 1575.19 feet to the point of beginning; thence West parallel to the North line of said Section 30 to a point in the West line of Government Lot 2; thence North along the West line of Government Lot 2 and its extension, being the West line of Government Lot 1, to a point in a line parallel to the North line of said Section 30 and 200 feet North of the South line of Government Lot 1; thence East along said line, being parallel to the North line of said Section 30 and 200 feet North of the South line of Government Lot 1, to the centerline of U. S. Highway No. 1 (State Road No. 5); thence southeasterly along said centerline to the point of beginning. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA: Section 1 . That pursuant to the provisions of Florida Laws, 1961, Chapter 61 -2944, it is hereby declared to be the intention of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, to annex the following described unincorporated and contiguous tract of land, situate, lying and being in the County of Palm Beach, State of Florida, to -wit: A parcel of land in Government Lots 1 and 2, Section 30, Township 40 South, Range 43 East, Palm Beach County, Florida, described as follows: Starting at a point where the North line of said Section 30 intersects the centerline of U. S. Highway No. 1 (State Road No. 5) and run southeasterly along said centerline a distance of 1575.19 feet to the point of beginning; thence West parallel to the North line of I 1 said Section 30 to a point in the West line of Government Lot 2; thence North along the West line of Government Lot 2 and its extension, being the West line of Government Lot 1, to a point in a line parallel to the North line of said Section 30 and 200 feet North of the South line of Government Lot 1; thence East along said line, being parallel to the North line of said Section 30 and 200 feet North of the South line of Government Lot 1, to the centerline of U. S. Highway No. 1 (State Road No. 5); thence southeasterly along said centerline to the point of beginning; to the Village of Tequesta at the expiration of thirty (30) days from the approval and final passage of this Ordinance. Section 2 . That upon final passage this Ordinance shall there- upon be published once a week for four (4) consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in Palm Beach County, Florida and three (3) printed copies of said Ordinance shall be posted for four (4) consecutive weeks at some conspicuous place in said Village, and three (3) copies shall in like manner be posted in said tract of land.
