AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA,
FLORIDA, PROHIBITING THE RUNNING AT LARGE
OF DOGS WITHIN THE VILLAGE AND PROVIDING
FOR THE IMPOUNDING OF DOGS IN VIOLATION.
THEREOF AND FOR PUNISHMENT THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 34, the Village Council of the Village
of Tequesta, Palm Beach County, Florida, does require the inoculation
and tagging of dogs owned by persons within the Village of Tequesta;
and
WHEREAS, the Village Council deems it to the best interests of.
the Village from the standpoint of safety, sanitation and welfare
to limit the running at large of dogs within the Village;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. No dog shall be allowed to run at large in the
Village of Tequesta, and persons allowing the same shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to punishment as provided in
Section 10 of Ordinance No. 1.
Section 2. Any dog found running at large within the Village
limits may be taken in and impounded by any member of the Police
Department and turned over to the Animal Rescue League of Palm Beach
County or to any licensed veterinarian.
Section 3. All ordinances and sections thereof in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
