HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance_92_10/13/1964 ORDINANCE NO. 92 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA ANNEXING CERTAIN PARCELS OF LANDS TO ITS TERRI- TORIAL LIMITS, TO -WIT: That certain parcel of land in Government Lot 2, Section 25, Township 40 South, Range 42 East, lying East of the right -of -way of Tequesta Drive and North of the North line of COUNTRY CLUB POINT, a Subdivision of Palm Beach County, Florida, according to the Plat thereof on file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court in and for Palm Beach County, Florida, in Plat Book 27, at page 112; That part of Government Lot 2, Section 15, Township 40 South, Range 42 East, lying East and South of COUNTRY CLUB POINT, a Subdivision of Palm Beach County,Florida, according to the Plat thereof on file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court in and for Palm Beach County, Florida, in Plat Book 27, page 112; Lotsl to 6, inclusive, Block 4, in the Sub- division known as RIVERSIDE ON THE LOXAHATCHEE, according to the Plat thereof on file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court in and for Palm Beach County, Florida, in Plat Book 9, page 4 ; TO THE SAID VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA; AND TO DEFINE AND GIVE THE SAID VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, THE SAME GOVERNMENT, JURISDICTION, POWERS, FRANCHISES, AND PRIVILEGES OVER THE RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY WITHIN THE TERRITORY SO ANNEXED AS EXIST UNDER THE CHARTER AS AMENDED, RESOLUTIONS, LAWS AND ORDINANCES OF THE SAID VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA INCLUDING THE POWER OF TAXATION. WHEREAS, by Ordinances numbered 87, 88 and 89, duly adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta on the 11th day of August , 1964, the Village did declare its intention under the provisions of Florida Laws, 1961, Chapter 61 -2944 to annex certain parcels of land more fully described in said Ordinances; WHEREAS, the Village has complied with the provisions and requirements of said Ordinances, the charter of the Village of Tequesta, and the laws of Florida, and no objections have been raised to the aforesaid intentions by the owners of said parcels of land within the time permitted by law and by said Ordinances; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA: Section 1 . EXTENSION OF LIMITS. That the present territorial limits of the Village of Tequesta in Palm Beach County, Florida, be, and the same are hereby, extended and enlarged so as to include by annexation all the following described unincorporated tracts of land, situate, lying and being in the County of Palm Beach, State of Florida, to -wit: That certain parcel of land in Government Lot 2, Section 25, Township 40 South, Range 42 East, lying East of the right -of -way of Tequesta Drive and North of the North line of COUNTRY CLUB POINT, a Subdivision of Palm Beach County, Florida, according to the Plat thereof on file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court in and for Palm Beach County, Florida, in Plat Book 27, at page 112; That part of Government Lot 2, Section 25, Town- ship 40 South, Range 42 East, lying East and South of COUNTRY CLUB POINT, a Subdivision of Palm Beach County, Florida, according to the Plat thereof on file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court in and for Palm Beach County, Florida, in Plat Book 27, page 112; Lots 1 to 6, inclusive, Block 4, in the Sub- division known as RIVERSIDE ON THE LOXAHATCHEE, according to the Plat thereof on file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court in and for Palm Beach County, Florida, in Plat Book 9, page 4. Section 2. POWERS. That the said Village of Tequesta, shall have the same government, jurisdiction, power, franchise and privileges over and within the territory hereby annexed and of the residents thereof and the territorial limits and the residents thereof. - Section 3 . RESOLUTIONS, LAWS AND ORDINANCES. That all of the resolutions, laws and ordinances of said Village of Tequesta, Florida, shall apply to and have the same force and effect in all the territory hereby annexed as if all such territory had been part of and within the territorial limits of the said Village of Tequesta, Florida, at the time of the adoption, passage or enactment of such resolutions, laws and ordinances. r PASSED ON FIRST READING this { � day of z'rt t.
