ORDINANCE NO. 70
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF
TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, LIMITING THE
DISTANCE FROM CHURCHES, SCHOOLS
AND YOUTH CENTERS OF ESTABLISHMENTS
SELLING INTOXICATING BEVERAGES ON
THE PREMISES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA,
FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . That all places of business selling intoxicating
liquors, wines and beverages for consumption on the premises shall be
located a distance of at least 1,000 feet from any church, school or
youth center in that part of the Village of Tequesta lying West of
the right -of -way of the Florida East Coast Railroad.
Section 2 . That all places of business selling intoxicating
liquors, wines and beverages for consumption on the premises shall be
located a distance of 500 feet from any church, school or youth center
in that part of the Village of Tequesta lying East of the right -of -way
of the Florida East Coast Railroad.
Section 3. That for the purposes of this ordinance, the
definition ofd distance" shall be the number of feet measured from

Section 4 . Any violation existing at the time of the
adoption of this ordinance may be continued under the terms and conditions
of Section 12 of the Official Zoning Ordinance.
Section 5 . This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage
and approval, according to law.
