AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA
REQUIRING CERTAIN PERSONS TO REGISTER WITH THE - -
CLERK OF SAID VILLAGE, SECURE IDENTIFICATION CARDS,
BE FINGERPRINTED AND PHOTOGRAPHED.
WHEREAS, the Village of Tequesta, Florida, is a community with
a large percentage of its inhabitants located within the said Village
for only a portion of the year; and
WHEREAS, said Village contains many accommodations for transients
and seasonal visitors, and a large percentage of the population of said
Village, as well as the employees occupied in servicing the facilities
for such transients are non - residents and seasonal; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed essential for the protection of the property,
health, safety, morals and general welfare of the inhabitants of the
Village and of its transient guests;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA:
Section 1: From and after the effective date of this Ordinance,
all transient laborers, solicitors and peddlers; all domestic employees;
all employees of stores, shops and other establishments dealing with the
public; and all employees of hotels, motels, apartments, clubs or other
places having accommodations for transient customers or guests, shall be
required to register with the Clerk of said Village, obtain an identifica-
tion card therefrom before he or she may be permitted to continue to be
so engaged or employed within the limits of said Village, and that all
such persons be required to submit to having their fingerprints and
photographs taken by the said Clerk or the Police Department as may be
specified by said Clerk, and shall pay to said Clerk the sum of $1.00
to cover costs of issuing said identification card.
Section 2 . Any person convicted of violation of this Ordinance
shall be punished as provided in Section 10 of Ordinance No. 1.
