AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA
ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS TO THE TERRITORIAL
LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA
WHEREAS, sub- section (29) of Section 3 of ARTICLE V of the
Charter of the Village of Tequesta grants the Village Council the
power to annex any lands adjoining or within three miles of the
territorial boundaries of said municipality upon the petition of
the owner or owners thereof; and
WHEREAS, JUPITER- TEQUESTA JUNIOR CITIZENS, INC., a Florida
corporation, the owner of certain land situated in Palm Beach County,
Florida, has filed a petition with the Village Council requesting
that the land described therein be annexed to the territorial limits
of the Village of Tequesta, copy of said petition being attached hereto
and made apart hereof as if fully and completely set forth herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1 . That the parcel of land described in the petition
hereinabove mentioned and hereto attached is hereby annexed and incor-
porated into the Village of Tequesta, and the same shall be and become
a part of the Village of Tequesta, with the same force and effect as
though the same had been originally incorporated into the territorial
boundaries thereof.
And, further, that said lands shall be subject to all of the
ordinances, regulations and codes of said Village.

JUPITER- TEQUESTA JUNIOR CITIZENS, INC., a Florida corporation,
being the owner of the following described parcel of land situated in
Palm Beach County, Florida, to -wit:
All that part of the North 264 feet of the South 279 feet
of the Northeast Quarter (NE4) of the Southeast Quarter
(SE4) of Section 25, Township 40 South, Range 42 East,
lying West of County Road (Seabrook Road) as same is now
located, constructed, and used, Palm Beach County, Florida;
Less the West 10Q feet of the East 905 feet of the North
117 feet of the South 132 feet of said northeast Quarter
(NE 4) of the Southeast Quarter (W of Section 25; and
Less the Nest 75 feet of the East 1080 feet of the North
117 feet of the South 132 feet of said Northeast Quarter
(NE4) of the Southeast Quarter (SE4) of said Section 25;
and Less the West 50 feet of the East 1280 feet of the
North 117 feet of the South 132 feet of said Northeast
Quarter (NE4) of the Southeast Quarter (SE4) of Section
25; and Less the West 10.4 feet of the North 117 feet of
the South 132 feet of said Northeast Quarter (NE4) of the
Southeast Quarter (SE4) of said Section 25; and Less the
West 120 feet of the East 805 feet of the North 117 feet
of the South 132 feet of said Northeast Quarter (NE- of
the Southeast quarter (SE4) of Section 25; all of the
above being subject to existing road right -of -ways (if
any) thereon; said land situate, lying and being in Palm
Beach County, Florida,
hereby petitions THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA to annex said property to
the territorial limits of said Village, and consents to the immediate
adoption of al; ordinances in connection therewith.

The g3oard of Trustees of Jupiter - Tequesta Junior Citizens,
Inc., a non - profit rlorida � have recently acquired appnoxinutely
three (3) acres herein described by the attached copy of deed.
This land, presently located in Palm beach County, we formal-
ly request your annex into the Village of `i'equesta anu grant zoning; variance
for it$s use for the construction of a youth center. It is also requested
that this building, the land, and the personal property be granted exemption
from taxes, licenses, anti building permit fee by the Village of Tequesta.
The Board of `Trustees proposes to provide adequate and suffi-
cient space in the South wing for housing; of a fire truck that is to be used
by the Jupiter Volunteer Fire Company and offices for the Police Department
Town Clerk, and a conference room to be used for the meetings of the Town Coun-
cil, the Board of Trustees, and the hoard of firectors of Jupiter - Tequesta
Junior Citizens. The Board of Trustees will rent these facilities to the
Village of 'T'equesta for a term of two (2) years, starting upon completion of
this portion of the building for the sum of W5900 per month. The landlord
will i'urnish maintenance of ti grounds, buildings, water, arm electricity
(excluding air conditioning).
It is further requested that the Village Council agree to
appoint a Trustee to the Jupiter - Tequesta Junior Citizens' i3oa.rd of Trustees
every third year starting the year 1964 in accordance with the rules of suc-
cession as outlined below:
The organization shall be a non - profit organization and is
being formed for the purpose of acquiring land, constructing a buildings and
promoting youth activities for the children of the greater Jupiter - Tequesta
area between the ages of thirteen (13) and nineteen (19). The adult organi-
zing committee has selected the following for the isoarci of Trustees:

These trustees shall remain in office until the first meet-
ing in January 1963 at Which time four (4) members will remain on the Hoard
of Trustees, based on regularity of attendance at meetings. Three (3) new
members shall be elected as follows: Une (1) nevi Trustee shall be appointed
by the Jupiter Town Council fear a term of three (3) years* One (1) shall be
appointed by the Board of Directors of the Jupiter - Tequesta Chamber of Com-
merce for the term of one (1) year. The third new 'Trustee shall be nominated
