HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance_45_06/12/1962 ORDINANCE NO. 45 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TE(?UESTA ANNE XING CERTAIN LANDS TO THE TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA WHEREAS, sub- section (29) of Section 3 of ARTICLE V of the Charter of the Village of Tequesta grants the Village Council the power to annex any lands adjoining or within three miles of the territorial boundaries of said municipality upon the petition of the owner or owners thereof; and tiMREAS, TEG,UESTA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION a Florida corpora- tion, the owner of certain land situated in Palm Beach County, Florida, has filed a petition with the Village Council requesting that the land described therein be annexed to the territorial limits of the Village of Tequesta, copy of said petition being attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully and completely set forth herein; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows Section 1 . That the parcel of land described in the petition hereinabove mentioned and hereto attached is hereby annexed and incorporated into the Village of Tequesta, and the same shall be and become a part of the Village of Tequesta, with the same force and effect as though the same had been originally incorporated into the territorial boundaries thereof. And, further, that said lands shall be subject to all of the ordinances, regulations and codes of said Village. PASSED AND ADOPTED ON FIRST READING this � day ' ,of June, 1962. APPROVED - Cecil - Corne lus ec II G orne 11u S, ayor Robert ATT o -Robert _- -j . ,= a ler Robert Ha Vi age Cler1: � Tai as _V��ur„apur iL er; R Lat rbp George E.--Bowd P E T I T I O N TEQUESTA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, a Florida corporation, being the owner of the following described parcel of land situated in Palm Beach County, Florida, to -wit: A parcel of land lying in Government Lots 2 and 5, Sec- tion 25, Township 40 south, Range 42 East, Palm Beach County, Florida; more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of a line which is paral- lel to, and 608.30 feet north of the south line of the said Government Lot 2, and the westerly waters of the north fork of the Loxahatchee River for the point of beginning of this description; thence westerly, paral- lel to, and 608.30 feet north of the south line of said Government Lot 2 on an assumed bearing of south 89 de- grees, 46 minutes and 25 seconds west, a distance of 110 feet more or less to a point; thence southeasterly on a bearing of south 10 degrees, 07 minutes, 42 seconds east, a distance of 90 feet to the point of curve of a circular curve to the right, which radius is 50 feet; thence southeasterly along the arc of said circular curve to the right, an arc distance of 124.90 feet to a point; thence southeasterly on a bearing of south 10 degrees, 07 minutes, 42 seconds east, a distance of 520.35 feet to a point in a line parallel to and 76.70 feet south of the south line of said Government Lot 2; thence westerly along a line parallel to and 76.70 feet south of said Government Lot 2, on a bearing of south 89 degrees, 46 minutes, 25 seconds west, a distance of 979.70 feet to a point in the west line of said Govern - ment Lot 5 ; thence northerly along the west line of said Government Lot 5 on a bearing of north, a distance of 76.70 feet to the northwest corner of Said Government Lot 5; said corner being also the southwest corner of said Government Lot 2; thence northwesterly along the west line of said Government Lot 2, on a bearing of north 00 degrees, 34 minutes, 25 seconds west, a distance of 1378.34 feet to a point; thence easterly on a bearing of south 89 degrees, 57 minutes, and 30 seconds east, a dis- tance of 435 feet, more or less, to the westerly waters of the north fork of the Loxahatchee River; thence meander southeasterly along the westerly waters of the north fork of the Loxahatchee River to the point of beginning of this description; said land situate, lying and being in Palm Beach County, Florida. hereby petitions THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA to annex said property to the territorial limits of said Village, and consents to the immediate adoption of all ordinances in connection therewith.
