HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_30-97/98_06/11/1998 RESOLUTION No. 30 - 97/98 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR LEVYING A NON -AD VALOREM EQUIVALENT RESIDENTIAL UNIT ASSESSMENT OF $74.40 FOR STORMWATER UTILITY SERVICES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1998/1999. WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Village to adopt the budgets for the fiscal year commencing October 1, 1998; and WHEREAS, the stormwater utility fund budget for the fiscal year commencing October 1, 1998, requires a non -ad valorem equivalent residential unit assessment rate of $74.40. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The non -ad valorem equivalent residential unit assessment of $74.40 annually for the fiscal year 1998/1999 is hereby adopted. Section 2. Based upon the foregoing adopted equivalent residential unit assessment of $74.40 annually, the following non -ad valorem equivalent residential unit • assessment for stormwater utility services by specific property type appearing below is hereby adopted. A) Small single family residences: > 1 s.f. and < = 2,506 s.f. = 1 ERU x .65 x 12 mo. _ $48.36 annually. B) Medium single family residences: > = 2,507 s.f. and < = 4,621 s.f. = 1 ERU x 12 mo. _ $74.40 annually. C) Large single family residences: > = 4,622 s.f. = 1 ERU x 1.30 = 12 mo. _ $96.72 annually. D) Condominium developments: 1 ERU x .67 x 12 mo. _ $49.80 annually. E) Multi - family developments: 1 ERU x .84 x 12 mo. _ $62.52 annually. F) Commercial /government /industrial: Total impervious area /3,576 s.f. x $6.20 x 12 mo. = annual non -ad valorem assessment. Section 3. Certified copies of this resolution shall be forwarded to the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser, Palm Beach County Tax Collector and the Palm Beach County . Solid Waste Authority as may be required by applicable law. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED BY Councilmember Hansen who moved its adoption.
