A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY,
FLORIDA, PROVIDING, ON A TEMPORARY BASIS, THAT
FIREFIGHTERS OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA MAY
SERVE TEMPORARILY AS TRUSTEES FOR THE
"EMPLOYEES' PENSION TRUST FUND" IN PLACE AND
IN STEAD OF A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE POLICE
OFFICERS AND A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE GENERAL
EMPLOYEES OF THE VILLAGE, SAID FIREFIGHTERS TO
SERVE ONLY UNTIL A REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE
POLICE OFFICERS AND A REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE
GENERAL EMPLOYEES OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA
ARE ELIGIBLE AND WILLING TO SERVE AS TRUSTEES;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village Council on July 30, 1996, adopted
Ordinance No. 518, thereby adopting the Employees' Pension Trust
Fund and the Plan Document relating thereto; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Document provides for a Board of Trustees
consisting of seven Trustees; and
WHEREAS, there may not currently be representatives of the
• police officers and general employees of the Village who are
eligible or willing to serve as Trustees under the terms of the
Employees' Pension Trust Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The Village Council hereby authorizes that the
positions on the Board of Trustees which would be filled by
representatives from the police officers and general employees of
the Village of Tequesta be filled by representatives from the
firefighter members of the Plan. Said firefighters shall serve
only on a temporary basis, in place and in stead of the police
officer representative and the general employee representative and
only until the representatives from the police officers group and
general employees group of the Village of Tequesta are eligible and
willing to serve as Trustees. When a police officer representative
and /or a general employee representative of the Village of Tequesta
becomes eligible and willing to serve as a Trustee, the term of the
firefighter appointed to serve in the place of those
representatives shall end.
Section 2, This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was offered by Councilmember
Hansen , who moved its adoption. The Resolution
was seconded by Councilmember ikleder and upon
being put to a vote, the vote was as follows:

The Mayor thereupon declared the Resolution duly passed and
adopted this 24th day of September , 1996.
