RESOLUTION NO. 35 -9596
i s A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A
NON -AD VALOREM ASSESSMENT ROLL SO AS TO
PROVIDE A UNIFORM METHOD FOR COLLECTING A
NON -AD VALOREM ASSESSMENT FOR STORMWATER
UTILITY SERVICES AND RELATED CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENTS AND SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the Village of Tequesta previously adopted Resolution
No. 14 -95/96 stating its intent to use the uniform method for
collecting a non -ad valorem assessment for stormwater utility
services and related capital improvements and services; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Tequesta has implemented all those
procedures necessary and precedent to the adoption of the non -
ad valorem assessment roll pursuant to the provisions of
§197.3632; and
WHEREAS, after Public Hearing the Village Council has
determined to adopt a non -ad valorem assessment roll on all
real property lying within the Corporate Limits of the Village
of Tequesta as defined in Resolution No. 14- 95/96.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
• VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The non -ad valorem assessment roll relating to
stormwater utility services and related capital improvements
and services on all real property located within the Corporate
Limits of the Village of Tequesta is hereby adopted.
Section 2. The total amount of assessments to be levied on all
real property located within the Village is $204,122.09. The
assessments are calculated using the method of assessment
contained in the attached Notice of Assessment, attached to
this Resolution as Exhibit "A ".
Section 3. The assessment roll adopted pursuant to the
terms of this Resolution is attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and
is adopted herein as if fully set forth in its entirety and is
on file in the offices of the Village Clerk, Village of
Tequesta, 357 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida 33469 and may
be examined at that location on any week day between 8:30 a.m.
and 5:00 p.m.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon passage.

As required by Florida Statutes, 197.3632, notice is hereby given by the Village of Tequesta of Palm Beach County, that
s special assessment has been levied against your property.
1. The purpose of the assessment is to defray the cost of stormwater utility services for fiscal year 1996-
1997.

the equivalent number of equivalent residential units (ERU's) of square footage (SF) impervious area (IA)
of each parcel, multiplied x the rate of $61.44 per ERU.

6. FAILURE TO PAY THIS ASSESSMENT WILL CAUSE A TAX CERTIFICATE TO BE ISSUED AGAINST
THE PROPERTY WHICH MAY RESULT IN A LOSS OF TITLE.
7. All affected property owners have a right to appear at the public hearing to be held at the Village of
Tequesta Village Hall Council Chambers, 357 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida beginning at 7:00 P.M.
on September 12, 1996 and to file written objections with the Village of Tequesta within 20 days of this
notice.
