HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_07-95/96_11/09/1995 i • RESOLUTION NO. 7 -95/96 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, DESIGNATING THE OFFICIAL DEPOSITORIES FOR i VILLAGE FUNDS. WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta deems it necessary and desirable to designate official depositories for Village funds; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH, COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The following named banks, savings and loan associations and governmental agencies are hereby • designated as qualified Public Depositories for the deposit of funds of the Village of Tequesta. 1. Barnett Banks of Palm Beach County 2. Bank Atlantic, Fort Lauderdale 3. Fidelity Federal Savings Bank of Florida 4. First United Bank 5. Nations Bank of Florida, N.A. 6. Savings of America 7. Sun Trust Bank South Florida, N.A. 8. Community Savings 9. Wilmington Trust of Florida, N.A. 10. State Board of Administration SECTION 2. "Qualified Public Depository" means any bank or savings association organized and existing under the laws of this state and any bank or savings association a organized under the laws of the United States that has its principal place of business in this state or has a branch office which is authorized under the laws of the state or the United States to receive deposits in this state, that meets all of the requirements of Chapter 280, Florida Statutes and has been designated by the Treasurer of this state as a qualified public depository. • i • I -a- f SECTION 3. The Director of Finance, with the approval of the Village Manager, is authorized to establish demand deposit accounts, time deposit accounts and certificates of deposit accounts deemed necessary and appropriate for the financial management and safe - keeping of Village funds at qualified Public Depositories listed in Section y 1 of this Resolution. r THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was offered by Councilmember Elizabeth A. Schauer , who moved its adoption. The Ordinance was seconded by Councilmember Carl C. Hansen and upon � being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: FOR ADOPTION AGAINST ADOPTION Joseph N.
