HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_Local Planning Agency_10/11/2007MINUTES VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY OCTOBER 11, 2007 Call to Order and Roll Call The meeting was called to order by Mayor Jim Humpage at 7:00 p.m. A roll call was taken by Assistant to the Village Clerk Deanna Mayo. Present were: Mayor Jim Humpage, Vice Mayor Pat Watkins, Council Member Dan Amero, Council Member Tom Paterno, and Council Member Calvin Turnquest. Also in attendance were: Village Attorney Scott Hawkins, Village Manager Michael R. Couzzo, Jr., Assistant to the Village Clerk Deanna Mayo, and Department Heads. Approval of Agenda MOTION: Vice Mayor Watkins moved approval of the agenda as submitted. Council Member Amero seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous 5-0 vote. New Business Approval of Site Plan to construct an addition and landscaping to the existing Comcast building located at 961 Old Dixie Highway, Tequesta, FL. Mayor Humpage declared the public hearing open. Attorney Hawkins swore in all those intending to offer testimony in this matter. Mr. Barry Rhodes, Director of Engineering for Comcast, explained the site plan was for Comcast to extend the building to allow future expansion of service to the Jupiter Tequesta area. The plans included sprucing up landscaping, a larger screening fence, sprinkler system, and sodding the entire area. Director of Community Development Catherine Harding indicated staff had no issues with this request, and that this applicant had done everything staff had asked them to do, in excess of the requirements. There were no comments by the Council. Hearing no comments from the public, Mayor Humpage declared the public hearing closed. MOTION: Vice Mayor Watkins moved to approve the site plan to construct an addition and landscaping to the existing Comcast building located at 961 Old Dixie Highway in Tequesta, Florida. Motion was seconded by Council Member Amero and carried by unanimous 5-0 vote.
