HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_21-91/92_07/23/1992 RESOLUTION NO. 21 -91/92 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO PROVIDE FOR THE DISPOSAL OF SURPLUS PERSONAL PROPERTY OF THE VILLAGE, WHICH PROPERTY HAS BECOME UNNECESSARY OR UNFIT FOR VILLAGE USE. WHEREAS, Section 3.02(8) of the Village Charter designates the Village Manager as Purchasing Agent for the Village; and in such capacity provides that such individual shall conduct all sales of personal property which the Village Council may authorize to be sold as having become unnecessary as unfit for Village use; and WHEREAS, the following listed Village personal property has been determined to be surplus property - unnecessary and unfit for Village use: MOTOR VEHICLES: POLICE DEPARTMENT VEHICLE: One (1) 87 Ford LTD, VIN #2FABP72GNX165223 WATER DEPARTMENT VEHICLE: One (1) 83 Chevrolet PU Truck, VIN #2GCE240101144382 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT VEHICLE: One (1) 86 Ford Tempo, VIN 32FABP19K2GB153360 PERSONAL PROPERTY: FINANCE DEPARTMENT One (1) Personal Computer & Monitor, 82, NCR -PC4, Serial #15927004 POLICE DEPARTMENT Two (2) Radios - Motorola, 70, (P078, P086) Six (6) Miscellaneous Lightbars stripped and parts One (1) Portable Radio; GE, (P152) Two (2) Portable Radio Chargers Miscellaneous Obsolete Siren and Blue Light Covers and Parts COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT One (1) Leitz 115 Surveying Equipment W /Rod and Tripod (75) PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT One (1) Snapper Riding Mower & Attachments 86, (F060) One (1) Leco Fogger, (S -001) One (1) 980 Blower, (T -076) One (1) LW Hedge Trimmer, (T -045) One (1) Snapper Lawn Mower (P -027) One (1) Green Weed Eater One (1) Flymo Mower, (T -058) One (1) Economist Sign Machine, (SP -008) One (1) 7 Wood Door One (1) 7 Steel Door One (1) 2 HP Goulds Water Pump #1389844 WATER DEPARTMENT Water Meters (Scrap) 5/8 . . . . . 64 1" . . . . . 6 1 -1/2" . . . . 2 2 . . . . . 2 3 11 . . . . 1 4 . . . . . 1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: Section 1. That the foregoing listed personal property owned by the Village is declared to be surplus property - unnecessary and unfit for Village use. Section 2. In accordance with the provisions of Section 3.02(8) of the Village Charter, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to dispose of such specified personal property by sale or auction to be conducted in accordance with State Statutes, applicable to the disposal of municipal surplus personal property. Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED by Councilmember Burckart who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Mackail and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: • FOR ADOPTION AGAINST ADOPTION Earl L Collings Joseph N CaDretta Ron T Mackail. William F .
