HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_22-90/91_06/06/1991 i RESOLUTION NO. 22 -90/91 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO PROVIDE FOR THE DISPOSAL OF SURPLUS PERSONAL PROPERTY OF THE VILLAGE, WHICH PROPERTY HAS BECOME UNNECESSARY OR UNFIT FOR VILLAGE USE. WHEREAS, Section 3.02(8), of the Village Charter designates the Village Manager as Purchasing Agent for the Village; and in such capacity provides that such individual shall conduct all sales of personal property which the Village Council may authorize to be sold as having become unnecessary as unfit for Village use; and WHEREAS, the following listed Village personal property has been determined to be surplus property - unnecessary and unfit for Village Use: DETAIL OF PERSONAL PROPERTY POLICE DEPARTMENT VEHICLES One (1) 1987, Ford LTD Crown Victoria 4 -Door, VIN #2FABP72G6HX165223 One (1) 1986, Ford LTD Crown Victoria 4 -Door, VIN # 2FABP43G7GX146823 BUILDING DEPARTMENT VEHICLE One (1) 1984, Ford LTD Crown Victoria 4 -Door, VIN # 1FABP4363EZ150830 WATER DEPARTMENT - WATER METERS (JUNK) 188 - 5/8" meters 38 - 1" meters 7 - 1 1/2" meters 1 - 2" meter 2 - 3" meters NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA THAT: Section 1. That the foregoing listed personal property owned by the Village is declared to be surplus property - unnecessary and unfit, for Village use; and Section 2. In accordance with the provisions of Section 3.02 (8), of the Village Charter, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to dispose of such specified personal property by sale or auction to be conducted in accordance with State Statutes applicable to the disposal of I municipal surplus personal property. Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was ofered by Councilmember Will iam E. Burckart who moved its adoption. The Resolution was seconded by Councilmember _ ?ion T. ' and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: - 2 - FOR ADOPTION AGAINST ADOPTION Joseph N. Capretta Edward C. Howell Ron T.
