HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_17-88/89_09/28/1989 r � RESOLUTION NO. 17 -88/89 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA AND DESIGNATING THE TERM OF OFFICE FOR EACH APPOINTED MEMBER. WHEREAS, the Village Council created the Code Enforcement Board of the Village of Tequesta by adoption of Ordinance No. 376 on July 13, 1989, and WHEREAS, applications for membership to the Code Enforcement Board have been solicited and received by the Village Administration, and WHEREAS, the Village Manager has made recommendations to the Village Council relative to appointments, keeping in mind that the membership shall, whenever possible, consist of an architect, businessperson, engineer, general contractor, realtor, subcontractor and a general member, and WHEREAS, in order that the terms of office of all members will not expire at the same time, the initial appointments to the Code Enforcement Board shall be as follows: two (2) members shall be appointed for a term of one (1) year each; three (3) members shall be appointed for a term of two (2) years each; two (2) members shall be appointed for a term of three (3) years each and upon the expiration of each term, members may be reappointed for terms of three (3) years. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Messrs. Gordon Ritter and George E. Boyhan are hereby appointed for a term of one (1) year each to the Tequesta Code Enforcement Board. Section 2. Messrs. Timothy E. Goldsbury, William F. Treacy, and William M. Sharpless are hereby appointed for a term of two (2) years each to the Tequesta Code Enforcement Board. Section 3. Messrs. Paul P. Brienza and William S. Frank are hereby appointed for a term of three (3) years each to the Tequesta Code Enforcement Board. Section 4. The resignation of William S. Frank as a member of the Community Appearance Board is hereby accepted in order to properly effectuate his membership on the Tequesta Code Enforcement Board. Section 5. The unexpired term of William S. Frank on the Community Appearance is hereby filled by the appointment of Mrs. Claudette Dalack, formerly an alternate member of the Community Appearance Board. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was offered by Councilmember Earl L. Collings who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by y_ Ccuncilmember William E.
