HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_11-87/88_05/26/1988 RESOLUTION NO. 11 -87/88 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE INVESTMENT OF EXCESS VILLAGE FUNDS WITH THE STATE BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION WHEREAS, the Village of Tequesta from time to time has funds on hand in excess of current needs, and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Village and its inhabitants that funds be invested to return the highest yield consistent with proper safeguards, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the Village Manager, Thomas G. Bradford, or his designee, be, and he is hereby authorized to transmit such funds to the State Board of Administration to be invested according to applicable laws of the State of Florida consistent with the needs of the Village of Tequesta. Such authorization includes authority to withdraw funds from State Board of Administration by giving timely notice and appropriate confirmation. Section 2. That this authorization shall be continuing in nature until revoked by the Village Council. I THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was offered by Councilmember William E. Burckart who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Edward C. Howell , and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: FOR ADOPTION AGAINST ADOPTION Joseph N. Capretta Ron T. Mackail Edward C.
