A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA,
FLORIDA REQUESTING THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA,
TO ACCEPT COUNTRY CLUB DRIVE AND TEQUESTA
DRIVE, INCLUDING THE TEQUESTA DRIVE BRIDGE
AS FACILITIES OF PALM BEACH COUNTY.
WHEREAS, the Village of Tequesta has participated with
Palm Beach County in Palm Beach County's Impact Fee Program
since its inception; and
WHEREAS, the State of Florida is currently conducting a
functional classification to determine the appropriate
jurisdiction for various classes of roadways within Palm
Beach County as mandated by Section 335.04 of the Florida
Statutes; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Tequesta is desirous of Palm
Beach County assuming jurisdiction and maintenance
responsibility for Tequesta Drive, including Tequesta Drive
Bridge, from U.S. -1 to Country Club Drive and of Country Club
Drive from Tequesta Drive to the north County line; and
WHEREAS, these changes of Tequesta Drive, including
Tequesta Drive Bridge and Country Club Drive, meet the
criteria promulgated by the State of Florida for a County
collector; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Tequesta has programmed funds
in anticipation of resurfacing Tequesta Drive and Country
Club Drive, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Village of Tequesta to
continue to cooperate with Palm Beach County in providing the
roadway transportation system to serve the residents of the
, ,Village of Tequesta; and
WHEREAS, a companion resolution is being presented to
the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach County,
Florida, on September 22, 1987, expressing the Board of
County Commissioner's willingness to accept the above - stated
as County facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL
OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, that:
Section 1. The above citations are true and correct
and are hereby confirmed.
Section 2. The Village Council of the Village of
Tequesta requests Palm Beach County to accept the above
listed segments of Tequesta Drive, including Tequesta Drive
Bridge and Country Club Drive, as County collector roads
under the functional classification currently being conducted
by the State of Florida.
Section 3. The transfer of jurisdiction of the
aforementioned roadways and infrastructure to Palm Beach
County shall become effective upon conclusion of the
programmed resurfacing of Tequesta Drive and Country Club
Drive anticipated prior to Fiscal Year 1991.
Section 4. The Village Clerk is hereby directed to
provide the Board of County Commissioners and the Florida
Department of Transportation with certified copies of this
resolution.

Resolution was seconded by Councilmember Far] L. Cpl l inks
and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows:
