A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA,
FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE EVALUATION AND APPRAISAL
REPORT AND THE 1986 UPDATE COMPREHENSIVE
PLAN FOR THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA,
PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 163, FLORIDA STATUTES;
SAID PLAN INCLUDES POLICY STATEMENTS ADDRESSING
COMMUNITY CHARACTER, POPULATION, ECONOMIC,
HOUSEHOLD CHARACTERISTICS, HOUSING AND
RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT, ANNEXATION, LAND
USE, TRANSPORTATION, COMMUNITY FACILITIES,
PUBLIC FACILITIES, CONSERVATION /COORDINATION,
ECONOMIC /FISCAL, INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATION.
WHEREAS, in order to encourage the most appropriate
use of the land, water and resources consistent with the public
interest and preserve, promote, protect and improve the public
health, safety, comfort, good order, appearance, convenience,
law enforcement, fire prevention and the general welfare of
the Village of Tequesta, the Village Council had determined
that said Comprehensive Plan be adopted and did adopt it in
1979, and
WHEREAS, an Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR) was
prepared and reviewed by the local planning agency of the Village
of Tequesta, Florida in 1985 as per the requirements of Section
163.3191(2) of the L G C P A, Chapter 163, Florida Statutes,
and
WHEREAS, a Comprehensive Plan was subsequently prepared
and reviewed by the local planning agency of the Village of
Tequesta, Florida in 1985 and 1986 as per the requirements
of Section 163.3191(2) of the L G C P A, Chapter 163, Florida
Statutes, and
WHEREAS, said EAR and Comprehensive Plan were transmitted
to the Village Council for consideration, and
WHEREAS, an Updated Comprehensive Plan was proposed
and reviewed by the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL
OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, as follows:

That the EAR and the 1986 Updated Comprehensive Plan
are hereby adopted, copies of which are attached hereto as
Exhibits #1 and #2.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was offered by Councilmember
Jill K. Gemino who moved its adoption, the
motion was seconded by Edwin J. Nelson and upon being
put to a vote, the vote was as follows:

Jill K. Gemino
The Mayor thereupon declared the Resolution duly passed
and adopted this 10th day of June A.D., 1986.
