Home My WebLink AboutResolution_35-06/07_03/08/2007RESOLUTION NO. 35-06/07 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, REQUESTING APPROVAL TO SURPLUS THE USED FURNITURE FROM THE OFFICES AT 250 TEQUESTA DRIVE, TWO TRUCKS FROM THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT & ONE BOAT FROM THE POLICE DEPARTEMENT SO THEY MAY BE AUCTIONED AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPLICABLE PROPOSALS ON BEHALF OF THE VILLAGE. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Consideration to surplus used office furniture from 250 Tequesta Drive, two trucks from the Water Treatment Plant, and one boat from the Police Department attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated by reference as a part of this Resolution is hereby approved and the Village Manager of the Village of Tequesta is authorized to execute the same on behalf of the Village. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED by Councilmember Watkins, who moved its adoption. Ricciardi to surplus two (2) trucks from the Water Treatment Plant and one (1) boat from the Police Department. These items are no longer being used. and should be sold at auction. I also would like to have the miscellaneous furniture left over from the move to the new Village Hall put to surplus, it takes up quite a bit of space at the Public Works Facility and we could make better use the space. There is an auction coming up sometime in April and it would be a good time to dispose of these items. We have used a local auctioning company in the past and have had good results, they get a 10% buyers premium, so we receive whatever the bid amount is. I anticipate the Village recouping approximately $5,000.00 to $8,000.00 based on previous auctions.
