HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_61-06/07_08/09/2007RESOLUTION NO. 61-06/07 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO MAINTAIN THE PROPERTY APPRAISAL RATES USED TO CALCULATE THE VILLAGE'S PROPERTY INSURANCE AT OCTOBER 1, 2006 AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO ADVISE THE FLORIDA MUNICIPAL INSURANCE TRUST ACCORDINGLY. WHEREAS, the Village had budgeted an initial amount of $128,149 for property insurance, and a later amount of $25,974 for the Village Hall, making a total amount of $154,123; and WHEREAS, the Florida Municipal Insurance Trust has adjusted the Property insurance premium rates based on the revised property values contained in the appraisal report of February 8, 2007 for a total of $43,433. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: A resolution to maintain the property appraisal rates in place on October 1, 2006, until the end of the 2006/07 fiscal year, and authorizing the Village Manager to advise the Florida Municipal Insurance Trust on behalf of the Village is hereby approved. The foregoing Resolution was offered by Vice-Mayor Watkins, who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Council Member Amero and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: Mayor Jim Humpage Vice-Mayor Pat Watkins Council Member Dan Amero Council Member Tom Paterno For Adoption Against Adoption X X X X Council Member Calvin Turnquest X The Mayor thereupon declared the Resolution duly passed and adopted this 9T" day of August, 2007.
