Couzzo, Jr., Village Manager Honorable Mayor and Village Council Members FROM: Lori McWilliams, Vil{age Clerk DATE: March 5, 2011 SUBJECT: Appointment of Board of Adjustment Board Member Due to the unusual leave of Board of Adjustment Member John Vadala, I request the Council appointment a replacement to fill his unexpired term, which ends 5/13/12. Village Code allows for vacancies occurring during the course of the year to be filled by Council at anytime. During the last BOA meeting, Mr. Vadala informed the Board that due to family matters he was moving out of the Village. Numerous communication efforts (phone calls, emails and certified letters) were made to communicate with Mr. Vadala regarding his residency, to which no response was received. Therefore, to ensure the continued effectiveness of the board, I suggest replacing Mr. Vadala at this time. The Board is open to all residents over 18 years of age, and must be a registered voter within the Village of Tequesta. The current vacancy is due to a Board Member resignation. The Village Council shall fill the term for the unexpired term, which expires May 12, 2012.
