Couzzo, Jr., Village Manager Honorable Mayor and Village Council Members FROM: Lori McWilliams, MMC, Village Clerk DATE: February 23, 2011 SUBJECT: Appointment of Planning and Zoning Board Member Due to the recent resignation of Planning and Zoning Regular Board Member Chase Croft, I request the Council appoint a replacement to fill his unexpired term, which ends 5/13/12. The vacancy was advertised in several ways including the newspaper, website, email distribution and via our Facebook page. Council would then need to replace the Alternate position for the remainder term. Village Code Sec. 2-1. Appointme�ts to boards, committees and commissions. (a) The village council shall make appointments to all the various boards, committees and commissions constituted by the village council by ordinance or resolution at the regular village council meeting held in May of each year. Vacancies occurring during the course of the year may be �lled by the village council at any time. ,�. ., � � ` � VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA SJ �'�T ` , � WANTED PLANNING AND ZONING ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER The Planning & Zoning Advisory Board meets on the 1 Thursday of the month at 5:30 p.m. to review and make recommendations to the Village Council regarding applications for site plan review, signage requested in conjunction with site plan review and any other reviews related to planning, zoning and development requested by the Village Council. The Board is open to all residents over 18 years of age, and must be a registered voter within the Village of Tequesta. The current vacancy is due to a Board Member resignation. The Village Council shall fill the term for the unexpired term, which expires May 13, 2012. Alternate members serve a two-year term and Regular members serve a three-year term.
