OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL, VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, APPROVAL OF A REQ BY 3 THE U.S. ARMY, CORPS OF ENGINEERS, TO DREDGE THE ATLANTIC INTRA AL WATERWAY ONE AND ONE -HALF MILES NORTH OF JUPITER INLET AND TO DEP Q THE SPOIL IN THE ATLANTIC OCEAN BEACH NORTH OF THE INLET NO HIGHER THE VEGETATION LINE, AND NOT CLOSER THAN ONE HALF MILE FROM THE INLET. WHEREAS, the Department of Environmental Regulation has received an application from the U.S. Army, Corps of Engineers, to do dredging and filling as described for filling under Chapter 253.124, Florida Statutes; and WHEREAS, the application from the Corps of Engineers relating to dredging of the Intracoastal Waterway one and one -half miles north of Jupiter Inlet indicates the Corps proposes to deposit the spoil resulting therefrom on the Atlantic Ocean beach north of the Inlet; and WHEREAS, the Department of Environmental Regulation has agreed to allow the deposition of the dredge spoil resulting therefrom on 600 feet of Atlantic Ocean beach, north of Jupiter Inlet, no closer than one half mile from the•Inlet, and waterward of the vegetation line; and WHEREAS, there is a need for additional sand on this beach to replace part of that lost to recent erosion. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: In accordance with the requirements of Chapter 253.125(1), Florida Statutes (which became effective 1 July 1982), that the Village Council, Village of Tequesta, hereby gives its approval to the deposition of spoil resulting from dredging the Intracoastal Waterway on 600 feet of the Atlantic Ocean Beach north of Jupiter Inlet, no closer than one half mile from the Inlet and below the vegetation line.
