HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_16-81/82_05/25/1982 t • • RESOLUTION NO. 16 -8i/82 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 17.075, FLORIDA STATUTES AND THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE IN ACCORDANCE WITH RULE 12 -10.09 (F.A.C.) TO DESIGNATE A BANK TO RECEIVE THE REVENUE SHARING STATE WARRANT; AUTHORIZING THE BANK SO DESIGNATED TO WIRE TRANSFER SAID REVENUE SHARING FUNDS TO A BANK DESIGNATED BY THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA TO RECEIVE SUCH FUNDS; AND FURTHER TO AUTHORIZE THE BANK DESIGNATED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF BANKING AND FINANCE OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA AND THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE TO DEDUCT THE COST OF THE WIRE TRANSFER FROM THE AMOUNT RECEIVED FOR TRANSFER. WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Revenue has adopted Chapter 12 -1009 Wire Deposit of Revenue Sharing Funds in the Rules of Department of Revenue, State of Florida; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Village of Tequesta to receive the Revenue Sharing Funds by wire transfer; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA: Section 1 . That in accordance with Section 17.075 Florida Statutes, and Rule 12_10.09 (F.A.C.) the Department of Banking and Finance of the State of Florida and the Florida Department of Revenue, in coordination, are authorized to designate a bank to receive the Revenue Sharing State Warrant. Section 2 . That the bank so designated is authorized to wire transfer said Revenue Sharing Funds to a bank designated by the Village of Tequesta to receive such funds. Section 3 . That the bank designated by the Department of Banking and Finance of the State of Florida and the Florida Department of Revenue is authorized to deduct the cost of the wire transfer from the amount received for transfer. Section 4. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was offered by Councilmember Carlton D. Stoddar moved its adoption. The Resolution was seconded by Councilmember Lee M. Brown and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: FOR ADOPTION AGAINST ADOPTION Lee M. Brown Thomas J. Little W.H. Mapes, Jr. Carlton D.
