HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_07-80/81_02/24/1981 RESOLUTION NO. 7-80/81 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA IN SUPPORT OF RESOLUTION MPO 3 -81 OF THE METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION FOR THE WEST PALM BEACH URBAN STUDY AREA. WHEREAS, the Village of Tequesta is a municipality located within Palm Beach County, Florida, and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the West Palm Beach Urban Study Area has recommended in Resolution MPO 3 -81 adopted on February 4, 1981, that the State of Florida significantly increase its funding levels for road projects within Palm Beach County, and WHEREAS, Palm Beach County is one of the fastest growing counties in the United States, and WHEREAS, the Village of Tequesta is in agreement with this funding request and would likewise strongly urge the Legislature to consider the needs of Palm Beach County for more transportation funding, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, that the Village Council endorses Resolution MPO 3 -81 adopted by the MPO. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was offered by Councilmember Carlton D. Stoddard. , who moved its adoption. The Resolution was seconded by Councilmember Leslie A. Cook and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: FOR ADOPTION AGAINST ADOPTION Leslie A. Cook W.H. Mapes, Jr. Carlton D.
