HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_03-79/80_12/11/1979 RESOLUTION NO. 3 -79/80 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA,CONCURRING THAT THE TOWN OF JUNO BEACH, FLORIDA BE INCLUDED AS A MEMBER OF THE LOXAHATCHEE COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS (COG) AND THAT THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA'S REPRESENTATIVE TO THE LOXAHATCHEE COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS (COG) BE AUTHORIZED TO VOTE FOR SAME WHEREAS, the Town of Juno Beach, Florida, by Resolution No. 18/79 passed and adopted November 14, 1979 has agreed to become a member of the Loxahatchee Council of Governments (COG) in accordance with the terms and conditions establishing the Loxahatchee Council of Governments (COG) and the present by -laws of the organization; and WHEREAS, the Town of Juno Beach, Florida, has submitted their remittance in the amount of $310. to the Loxahatchee Council of Governments (COG) as their share of the organization's financing for the fiscal year October 1, 1979 to September 30, 1980; and WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta, Florida believes that the Town of Juno Beach, Florida should be included in the membership of the Loxahatchee Council of Governments (COG); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA: Section 1 . That the Village of Tequesta, Florida, does herewith concur that the Town of Juno Beach, Florida be included in the member- ship of the Loxahatchee Council of Governments (COG). Section 2 . That the Village of Tequesta's representative to the Loxahatchee Council of Governments (COG), Mayor Howard F. Brown, is hereby authorized and directed to vote for the inclusion of the Town of Juno Beach, Florida as a member of the Loxahatchee Council of Governments (COG). Section 3 . That a certified copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Administrator, Loxahatchee Council of Governments (COG). 0 0 THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was offered by Councilmember Joseph D. Yoder , who moved its adoption. The Resolution was seconded by Counci lmember W. Harvey Mapes and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: FOR ADOPTION AGAINST ADOPTION Howard F. Brown Leslie A. Cook W. Harvey Mapes James H. Ryan Joseph D. Yoder The Mayor thereupon declared the Resolution duly passed and adopted this 1 1 day of December , A.D., 1979.
