HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_08-78/79_04/23/1979 9 0 RESOLUTION NO. 8 -78/79 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA APPROVING THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROJECTS FOR THE RECREATION AND PARKS DEPARTMENT FOR FISCAL YEAR 1979 /1980; MAKING MATCHING FUNDS AVAILABLE AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO MAKE APPLICATION TO PALM BEACH COUNTY FOR $3,850. IN MATCHING FUNDS WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach County has recommended to continue the County /City Recreational Development Program, for fiscal year 1979/1980; and WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta recognizes a need for assistance with financing top priority recreation projects for fiscal year 1979/1980; and WHEREAS, the Village of Tequesta Recreation Director has submitted a list of proposed top priority capital improvements for the Village of Tequesta Parks and Recreation Department for fiscal year 1979/1980 in a total amount of $7,700. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA: Section 1 . That the Village Council approves the list of top priority capital improvements for the Village of Tequesta Parks and Recreation Department for fiscal year 1979/1980 in a total amount of $7,700. (copy attached) Section 2 . That the Village Manager be, and is hereby authorized to submit a project application to Palm Beach County requesting funds in the total amount of $3,850. Section 3 . That the Village Council hereby authorizes the expenditure of $3,450. for the fiscal year 1979/1980 as the Village of Tequesta's fifty - percent (50 %) matching funds for the capital improvements projects. Section 4 . That a certified copy of this Resolution be submitted to the appropriate Palm Beach County authorities with the project application. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was offered by Councilmember Leslie A. C ook , who moved its adoption. The Resolution was seconded by Councilmember James H. Ryan and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: FOR ADOPTION AGAINST ADOPTION Howard F. Brown Leslie A. Cook W. Harvey Mapes James H. Ryan J oseph D.
