HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_10-77/78_06/13/1978 RESOLUTION NO. 10 -77/78 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA REQUESTING A PERPETUAL UTILITY EASEMENT FROM THE STATE OF FLORIDA, SAID EASEMENT TO BE UTILIZED FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A 12 INCH SUB - AQUEOUS WATER MAIN CROSSING THE NORTH FORK OF THE LOXAHATCHEE RIVER IN MARTIN COUNTY, FLORIDA. WHEREAS, it has been necessary for the Village of Tequesta to make various improvements to its water supply, storage and distri- bution system; and WHEREAS, the Village of Tequesta Water Department Consulting Engineers have recommended that the construction of a 12 inch sub- aqueous water main crossing the North Fork of the Loxahatchee River is necessary to provide an adequate supply of water at satisfactory pressures in parts of the service area west of the North Fork of the Loxahatchee River; and WHEREAS, the Village of Tequesta Water Department Consulting Engineers have prepared the plans and specifications for such sub- aqueous water main crossing; and WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Village of Tequesta to obtain a perpetual easement for the 12 inch sub - aqueous water main from the State of Florida; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA: Section 1 . That the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta, Florida hereby requests a perpetual utility easement from the State of Florida. Section 2. That the perpetual utility easement is to be utilized for the installation of a 12 inch sub - aqueous water main crossing the North Fork of the Loxahatchee River located in Section 23, Township 40 South, Range 42 East, Martin County, Florida. Y ` i ! THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was offered by Councilmember Mapes , who moved its adoption. The Resolution was seconded by Councilmember Cook and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: FOR ADOPTION AGAINST ADOPTION Mapes Co Brown Yoder The Mayor thereupon declared the Resolution duly passed and adopted this 13th day of June , A.D., 1978.
