HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_09-77/78_06/13/1978 POW IN RESOLUTION NO. 9 -77/78 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA COMMENDING PAUL PHILLIPS WHEREAS, it is important to the residents of the Village of Tequesta and the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta that information concerning Village affairs is made available; and WHEREAS, the Courier Highlights is a major media source for the dissemination of such information; and WHEREAS, such information can only be factual through the efforts of reporters; and WHEREAS, Paul Phillips, a reporter for the Courier Highlights, has been faithful and diligent in his attendance at Village of Tequesta Council Meetings, Special Council Meetings, Workshop Meetings, Committee Meetings and other activities of the Village of Tequesta . during the past years, and reporting of such meetings in the Courier Highlights; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA: Section 1 . That the Village Council extends its heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Paul Phillips for his dedicated service and devotion to reporting the affairs of the Village of Tequesta during past years. Section 2 . That the Village Council expresses its best wishes to Paul Phillips for a speedy and complete recovery from his recent operation. Section 3 . That a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the May 23, 1978 Village of Tequesta Council Meeting. Section 4 . That Mayor Howard F. Brown is hereby authorized and directed to personally deliver the original copy of this Resolution to Paul Phillips as soon as practical. Section 5 . That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Editor and General Manager of Cary Publications, Inc., publisher of the Courier Highlights. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was offered by Councilmember y Joseph D. Yoder,Jr. moved its adoption. The Resolution was seconded by Councilmember Leslie A. Cook and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: FOR ADOPTION AGAINST ADOPTION Howard F. Brown Leslie A. Cook W. Harvey Mapes James Ryan Joseph D.
