This memo is to update you and the Villag�e Council on rhe proposed changes to the Public Safety Building site.
The following changes are noted:
�.• The fencing alang rhe nortl� boundary of rhe propertq.
o The original plans called for a pre-cast concrete wall system. Due to the power lines and the
utilities that are located in the affected easement, it was detennined to change to a"PVC" fencing
sysrem along the northwest portion of the property, (see enclosure).
1) The installation o£ the pre-cast wall system requires the use of a ctane with an auger
attachment to bore the holes �or the posts. The overhead power lir�es pase a safetp
threat to the crane operator and the work crews an the building site.
2) There is a concentration of underground utilities in the easement that is located under
ihe power lines. The large auger would pose a significant threat to those utilities. The
setting of the alternate fencing greatly reduces this threat.
o The fencing along d1e northEast portion of the property will be a vinyl coated chain link fence
with the inserted slats to create the opaque fencing that is required by code.
1) The same conditions as above also affect this area of the properry.
❖ The landscapirig scheme along the north boundary of the property is also affected. The original plan called
for the planting of I.ive Oaks to be placed under rhe power �ines. After �aref�l consideration it was
determined that this tppe of tree wauld cause a serious problem when the trees reached maturity. The
following is being r�commended:
o The Live Oaks will be replaced with Dahoon Holly.
o The Red Tip Coco Plum w�ll be replaced with Spanish Stopper.
