HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_06-71/72_09/19/1972 RESOLUTION NO. 6 -7172 • A Resolution of the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, pursuant to Ordinance No. 196, the Lot Clearing Ordinance, of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, finding and determining that certain described property within the Village is in violation of the Ordinance and providing that the Village Manager shall proceed to correct the violations pursuant to the requirements of the ordinance. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Village Council finds and determines that the properties described in Section 2 of this Resolution violate Ordinance No. 196 of the Village of Tequesta, Florida inasmuch • as they contain excessive accumulations of untended undergrowth and grass and weeds in excess of twelve (12 ") inches from the ground within one hundred (100') feet of improved or unimproved property within the Village of Tequesta, Florida. Furthermore, they contain rubbish, trash, debris, dead trees and other unsightly and unsanitary conditions. SECTION 2. The parcels of land covered by this Resolution and the estimated cost of clearing such land and removing the above described conditions are as per attached Schedule A. SECTION 3. The Village Manager shall serve notice as set forth in the Ordinance upon the owners of the above - described • properties to comply with the requirements of this Resolution within fifteen (15) days after the serving of such notice or the Village Manager shall proceed to have the violations remedied upon the failure of the owner or owners to do so. Should the owners of the property described herein fail to clear their lots or to reimburse the Village its costs for doing so, the Village Manager is directed to take the necessary steps to impose a lien on all property which has been cleared at the Village's expense • • . pursuant to this Resolution.
