• A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCILMEN OF
THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA
CONCERNING THE 1971 PALM BEACH COUNTY
TAX ROLL ASSESSED VALUATIONS
NHEREAS, the Palm Beach County Tax Assessor, David L. Reid
has reassessed approximately 55% of the real property in Palm Beach
County, including the Village of Tequesta, at fair market value for
the 1971, tax roll: and
[JHEREAS, said reassessments will cause inequities in the
ad valorem taxes to be paid between those properties which have been
reassessed and those properties that have not as yet been reassessed
at their fair market value: and
Tdl-IEiREAS, it is the desire of the Village Councilmen and the
• residents and property oi:mers in the Village of Tequesta that all
property owned in Palm Beach County and the Village of Tequesta be
taxed equitablyi
NOW,, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUEST A, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . That the Palm Beach County Tax Assessor,
David L. Reid, recompute the 1971 tax roll on the same basis as the
1969 tax roll, for submission to the Board of County Commissioners
of Palm Beach County.
Section 2 . That the Tax Assessor continue the project of
reassessing all properties in Palm Beach County at their fair market
value, as required by lay ;.
Section 3 . That the Tax Assessor withhold submission of a
• tax roll based upon full market value valuations to the Board of
County Commissioners of Palm Beach County until such time as substantially 100%
of the real property of Palm Beach County* has been reassessed.
Section 4 . That certified copies of this resolution be
sent to:
David L. Reid, Palm Beach County Tax Assessor
Each member of the Board of County Commissioners of Palm
Beach County
Each member of the Palm Beach County Legislative Delegation.
