A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEI_UESTA., PALM
BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, REQUESTING TIE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
PAU1 BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, ALLOCATE FUNDS IN THEIR NEXT BUDGET FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF A NTMf BRIDGE ON HIGH 7 AY ALTERNATE .AlA, SPANNING THE
LOXAHATCHEE RIVER.
I.EEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Village Council
of the Village of Tequesta, Florida that the existing bridge on Alter— �

nate Highway A1A, spanning the Loxahatchee River, has become in a
state of disrepair, and is inadequate to handle the amount of traffic
using said bridge, and
'tti'HWEAS, such state of disrepair and inadequacy is largely
due to the extended age and narrowness of said bridge, and is creating
an unsatisfactory and dangerous traffic condition, and
10-IEITAS, it is the opinion of the Village Council of the
Village of Tequesta that said condition cannot be adequately remedied
by repairs to the existing structure,
NOU', THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the
Village of Tequesta, Palm Beach County, Florida, as follows;
Section 1. That the Board of County Commissioners of Palm
Beach County, Florida, is requested to allocate funds in their next
budget for the construction of a new bridge on Highway Alternate AlA,
spanning the Loxahatchee River.
Section 2. That the Village Clerk be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolu—
tion to the Board of County Comrissioners of Palm Leach County,
Florida and to each County Commissioner.
