A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL
OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA
"vHEREAS, the Village Council of Tequesta, Florida, acting in the interest
of the health, welfare and safety of the citizens of the Village of Tequesta,
Florida; and
IOBMEAS, the Village Council of Tequesta, Florida is interested in pro-
viding proper and adequate fire protection for all property within the
territorial limits of the Village of Tequesta, Florida;
WTIEREAS, the Jupiter Volunteer Fire Department has proposed that the
Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach County, Florida, establish
a Fire Control Tax District to include the Village of Tequesta, Florida;
• and
WHEREAS, the Village Council of Tequesta, Florida, does not have readily
available to them at this time pertinent data pertaining to such pro-
posed Fire Control Tax District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILIAGE
OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, that the Board of County Commissioners of Palm
Beach County, Florida, be urged to withhold further action on esta-
blishing a Fire Control Tax District in the Jupiter - Tequesta area until
all. pertinent data and facts pertaining to the proposed Fire Control
Tax District have been made available to the Village Council of Tequesta,
Florida, for their study and consideration.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of November, A.D., 1965.
