HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_07-64_07/13/1965 RESOLUTION NO. 7 -64 RESOLUTION OF VILLAGE COUNCIL OF TEQUE STA , FLORIDA • WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Village Council- men of the Village of Tequesta, that the State Road Department of Florida and the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach County, Florida, have taken under consideration and advisement the question of erecting a new bridge across the Intracoastal Waterway to connect State Road No. 5 (U.S.. Highway No. 1) to Jupiter Island along U. S. Highway A lA ; and WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of said Village Council- men that said authorities are considering the erection of said bridge across a more northern portion of said Intracoastal Waterway; NOW, THEREFORE, the Village Councilmen of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, in regular meeting assembled, do hereby unanimously encourage and recommend to the State Road Department of Florida and the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach County, Florida, that such bridge and crossing be made so that the westerly end of said bridge shall run in a westerly direction along the North line of the residential property, commonly referred to as "Waterway Village ", to the intersection of State Road No. 5 (U. S. Highway No. 1) with Tequesta Drive in the Village of Tequesta; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution express to the aforementioned authorities the willingness and desire of the Councilmen • and citizenry of the Village to assist in all ways possible in the achievement of the recommended move; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Village Council be, and he is hereby, directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to the State Road Department of Florida and its area representative, Honorable Charles Senerchia, and to the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach County, Florida, and its area representative, Honorable E. M. Van Kessell. • IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Village Councilmen of the Village of Tequesta have hereunto set their hands and have caused this Resolution to be attested by the Clerk, and the official seal of the Village to be affixed, all on this 13th day of July, A.D. 1965.
