A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THE
FEDERAL HOME LOAN BANK BOARD TO APPROVE AN APPLICATION
FOR PERMISSION TO ESTABLISH A BRANCH OFFICE OF THE` RIVIERA
BEACH FEDERAL SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION AT JUPITER,
FLORIDA,
WHEREAS, the Jupiter and Juno Beach areas are presently in
• their greatest growth period in history and from every indication such
growth will continue in the future; and,
WHEREAS, the Riviera Beach, Palm Beach Shores, Lake Park,
Jupiter and Juno Beach areas are a co- operating unit for the purposes of
shopping and finances for residents of the North end of Palm Beach
County, Florida; and,
WHEREAS, the Jupiter and Juno Beach area is eight (g) to
twelve (12) miles from the home office of the Riviera Beach Federal
Savings and Loan Association, and farther than that from any other
savings and loan association; and,
WHEREAS, for the continued growth and economic success of
• this area there is a need and necessity for a local office to take care of
home financing and saving accounts; and,
WHEREAS, an application has been filed with the Home Loan
Bank Board by the Riviera Beach Federal Savings and Loan Association
to establish a branch office at Jupiter, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, as
follows:
• Section 1. It is the opinion of the Town Council that the future
and continued growth and economy of the Jupiter and Juno Beach area
would be substantially increased by the establishment of the proposed
branch office in the Town of Jupiter.
Section 2. It is the opinion of the Town Council that there is a
great need and necessity for such a financial institution in Jupiter and
that the citizens of Jupiter and surrounding vicinity would support such
a branch office through savings and loans and that, therefore, such a
branch office would be successful.
Section 3. That the Town Council requests that the Federal
Home Loan Bank Board grant permission to the applicants to establish
• a branch of the Riviera Beach Federal Savings and Loan Association at
Jupiter, Florida.
Section 4. That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the
Chairman of the Federal Home Loan Bank Board, Washington, D. C.
