HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_Commuinity Appearance_05/20/1975 a v •i MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD May 20 1975 The Community Appearance Board held a meeting at 4:00 P.M., May 20, 1975 in the Village Hall, 357 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida. Board members persent were, Roger W. Fulling, Theodore E. Davis and Mrs. Philip J. Corr. Also present were, Cyrese Colbert, Village Clerk and A.W. Butterfield, Building Official. President of the Country Club Community Association, Howard Brown and Mr. J. Harvey Hartman were also present. The first item on the agenda was to appoint a Chairman of the new Board.. Mrs. Corr moved to appoint Roger W. Fulling as Chairman, the motion was adopted. Mrs. Corr moved to appoint Theodore E. Davis as Vice- Chairman, the motion was adopted. The Chairman wanted the rea_uest for additional members to be appointed to the Board by the Council to be written in the - minutes. The second item on the agenda was the request of Tequesta Country Club Community Assocation to erect an entrance gate at the South entrance into Tequesta Country Club. Fulling stated that plans should be presented by a registered Architect in the State of Florida, but that the Committee would waive that section. The purposed entrance gate is to be improved with a tree in front of the house on the right side of the entrance. The height of the fence is to be five feet (51) high, with succo exterior and openings. Davis was concerned with the fact, the gate might obstruct someone's view of Country Club Drive. But he was assured that there would be no obstruction what so ever. Mr. Hartman said the gate would be constructed with cement blocks, reinforced with steel bars according to the building codes of the Village of Tequesta. Mrs. Corr wanted to know the color. Hartman informed the Board the color would be white with black lettering and there would be landscaping around the gate. Davis moved for the approval of the plan as submitted with the height to be reduced to 4 five feet (5 f ) and final approval of the structure with an on the sight inspection by Chief Dusenbery, Tequesta Police Department. The next item on the agenda was the approval of an addition to the Jupiter Tequesta Junior Citizens building. Davis moved to approve the plans as sub- mitted. The Board also wants more power given to the Community Appearance Board to make it a stronger Board, so that the Board could start a program of better appearance in Tequesta.
