TEQUESTA COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD
The Village of Tequesta Community Appearance Board
held a meeting at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 16, 1973 at the
Village Hall, 357 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida. Board
members present were: Griffith, Fulling, Teare, Shay and Corr.
Also present were Robert Harp, Secretary of the Board and A. W.
Butterfield, Village Building Official.
Chairman Griffith advised the purpose of the meeting
was to review revised plans for a bath house for Tequesta Towers,
Beach Road. Mr. Fulling said he wanted to make a motion to
withhold action on any application for any other construction to
Tequesta Towers because of existing litigation. It was explained
that the builders original plans were to have the bath house
facilities on the first floor of the building, but the Palm
Beach County Health Department said such facilities would be
too remote from the swimming pool area and a bath house nearer
to the pool would have to be provided. The original pool
proposal was made to the Building DepartmenV prior to March 1, 1973.
Mr. Shay asked if the proposed new structure meets the new Zoning
requirements and Mr. Butterfield. advised it did. Mr. Shay also
asked about the roof line and Mr. DiVosta said it was quite
similar to that of other pool houses on Beach Road buildings.
Mr. DiVosta advised the Board that they have been using white
roof shingles on other such pool houses. Corr moved, seconded
by Teare that the plan for the bath house, as submitted, be
approved by the Board, inasmuch as the plans for the swimming
pool had been approved and a Building Permit issued for same
prior to March 1, 1973 and plans were revised to include a bath
house, as required by the Palm Beach County Health Department on
March 1, 1973, The motion was passed unanimously and the Board
members signed both copies of the plans for the construction.
Mr. Fulling asked about the landscaping plan for the entire
building and Mr. DiVosta showed some drawings and advised that
the complete plans had not been finalized as yet by his landscape
architect.
Chairman Griffith mentioned Section 3 (b), page 3 of
Ordinance No. 208, which requires detailed plans to be submitted
- to the Board and he said he believed that the Board would only
require plans with enough detail to cover and inform them on the
only items the Board might be concerned with in their review.
The Secretary said he would discuss the possible revision of this
section with the Village Attorney. Mr. Shay submitted various
documents from the Village of North Palm Beach Appearance Board
together with his detailed review of the same and the Secretary
will have copies made and distributed to each Board member,

Chainiian Griffith said the Board would have to meet at a later
date to consider the rules and regulations which they intend to
adopt. The Board also discussed the requirement that all plans
must have either a Registered Engineer or Registered Architect's
seal and the Building Official advised that the building code
only required such seals on buildings other than single family
dwellings that exceed $5,000, in cost and this matter is to be
reviewed by the Village Attorney.
There being no further business, the meeting was
adjourned at 11:05 A.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Robert Harp
Secretary
