MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE VILLAGE OF
TEQUESTA COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD
An organizational meeting was held by the Community
Appearance Board at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, June 7, 1973 at the
Village Hall. Board members present were: Griffith, Corr,
Teare and Fulling. Mr. Shay was out of town.
Village Manager Robert Harp advised that Mayor Russell
had requested him to set up the meeting since the new Zoning
Ordinance had been adopted May 28, 1973 and the action of the
Community Appearance Board will be necessary in certain cases
pursuant to the new Zoning Ordinance.
The Village Manager acted as Chairman of the meeting
and said the first order of business was for the election of
officers - a Chairman, Vice - Chairman and the appointment of a
Secretary.
Upon motion by Fulling, seconded by Corr and unanimously
passed, Frank J. Griffith was elected Chairman of the Board.
Upon motion by Griffith, seconded by Corr and unanimously
passed, Roger W. Fulling was elected Vice - Chairman.
The Board members asked the Village Manager to serve as
interim Secretary and he agreed to do so.
Chairman Griffith said he hoped the services of the
Village Attorney could be made available to the Board when necessary
and the Village Manager said they would. The Village Attorney is
to be asked about rules and regulations for the Board and notices
for meetings.
Mrs. Corr said she thought the Board could start
various projects pursuant to the terms of Ordinance No. 208
which created the Community Appearance Board, The Secretary
advised copies of the new Zoning Ordinance would be sent to the
members when they had been printed.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned
at 7:37 P.M.
