SUMMARY: This requirement was waived last year due to the limited number of
qualified pallworkers that reside in Tequesta. I have arranged the training and polling
locations for the Inspectors of Elections and about 1/3 are residents outside of Tequesta.

251 OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA CODE OF
ORDINANCES THAT INSPECTORS FOR THE GENERAL

COUNTY FOR THE MARCH 2O06 MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Section 2-251 of the Village Code of Ordinances provides that
Council may designate by Resolution polling locations, election officials, and
inspectors of election, election procedures, and other incidentals required to conduct
elections in the Village for the General Municipal Election on March 14, 2006; and if
necessary a Municipal Run-off Election on March 28, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta has chosen to
waive the requirement of Section 2-251 that the inspectors of election shall be
qtialified voters in the Village by allowing the inspectors of election to be qualified
voters in Palm Beach County for the March 2006 Elections.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VIL N TYE � ORIDA, AS
