OF THE
COUNCILMEN OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA
A special meeting of the Councilmen was held Tuesday, May 29, 1962
at 9:00 A.M. at Tequesta Country Club.
Councilmen present were: Messrs. Cornelius, Valier, Lathrop, Turn-
bull and Bowden. Village Manager Harp was also present.
The Mayor advised that the meeting had been called to further discuss
terms on which Country Club Point can continue with development and discussion
of plans and specifications of developer's engineer as shown on new drawings
The Village Manager explained .how a developer can have his plat approved
for filing. The ways are as follows:
1. 'Put in all required improvements to Village specifications. When
certified as to correct installation, Village Council can then accept plat.
2. File with the Village .Council a Surety Bond conditioned to secure the
construction of the improvements in a satisfactory manner and within
a time period not to . exceed one (1) year. Amount of Bond to be
110% of cost of constructing the improvements
3. Deposit with the.rVillage or place' in Escrow, cash, cashiers check
or a certified check in. an amount of 110% of the cost of construction
of improvements.
Once any of the above conditions have been met,- the Council can approve
the plat and the developer can then proceed to .sell and deed lots, once it has
been filed.
Mr. Lathrop moved - seconded by Mr. Bowden and passed, that his
motion made at the meeting of May 15, 1962 requiring developers of Country
Club Point to post bond of 110% of cost of improvements be amended to provide
for acceptance of the plat upon final approval of the plans and specifications
and when the developers do any one of the following:
1. Put in all required improvements to Village specifications and accepted
and approved by Village Council.
2. File a Surety Bond of 110% of cost of improvements with the Village.
3. Deposit with the Village or place in Escrow cash, cashiers check
or a certified check in the amount of 110% of the cost of construction
of improvements.
The Village Manager reported that a petition requesting annexation of Country
Club Point had been received.

A letter of comment on the plans and specifications for Country Club
Point from Brockway, Weber and Brockway, Inc. was read and specified
additional information that should be on plans before final approval. Copy of
letter is attached to these minutes, and Village Manager is to advise developer
of the things that need to be done before the plans can be approved.
The Council requested specifications for bulkhead be put on the plans.
Mr. Lathrop suggested that the developer be asked to put easements
to canals from Country Club Drive on the South Line of the lots, and Council
concurred.
The Village Manager reported on his recent conversation with Brockway,
Weber and Brockway concerning sub - division regulations and suggested that
they be revised for reading at next Council meeting.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:15 A.M.
