HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_Regular_12/11/1957 MINUTES OF THE C OUNCIL MEN OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORDIA At 8:05 PM on Wednesday, December 11, 1957, the fifth meeting of the Councilmen of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, was held at the Jupiter Inlet Beach Colony, Inc. office at Village Square, Jupiter, Florida. Those present were: John P. Kurtz, Gene Moore, Albert D. Alderman, C. W. Pietz and Walter F. Lathrop. Mayor Kurtz swore into office Chief of Police Wiard P. Dahlmeyer. Chief of Police Dah.lmeyer suggested adeouate lighting at the Country Club, all employees of the Country Club be finger- printed and asked if there should be any change in his once a night patrol. It was decided to keen the patrol as is for the time being. The bank loan was discussed, and Mr. Pietz said he would project the town income for the banks records. Clerk Lathrop was instructed to notify contractors of the occupational license and start enforcement as of January 1st. On motion duly made and seconded, Mr. Alderman was instructed to continue his negotiations with Florida Public Utilities Co. and Flo -Gas Cora. for a franchise in the Village of Tequesta. There was a general discussion on the bond issued the County of Palm Beach by Tequesta, Inc. for completion of roads and drainage. It is hoped that a portion of this bond can be transferred to the Village of Tequesta. The meeting was adjourned at 9:50 I'M. ATTEST: 11 r Cie
