HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_Regular_02/19/1958 MINUTES OF THE COUNCILMEN OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA At 4:00 PNI on Wednesday, February 19, 1958, the seventh meeting of the Councilmen of the Village of Tequesta, Florida was held at the Tequesta, Inc. office at Village Square, Jupiter, Florida. Those present were: John P. Kurtz, Thomas H. Daly and Walter F. Lathrop. The Councilmen approved the motion that $25.00 be paid the Jupiter Volunteer Fire Department, and that $25.00 be paid them each time they are called to Tequesta. The bill from Winters, Cook, Brackett and Lord in the amount of $1,609.37 was approved and passed for payment. The Councilmen, acting as the board of appeals on building codes authorized the James Kirkpatrick house to be set back 20 from the street line. The clerk reported on the occupational licenses to date, and has instructed the Chief of Police to check on any contractors operating without a license. Since there was no January meeting, the Treasurer took this opportunity to report that the Village had no income and no expenses up to December 31, 1957 because of its recent organization. He anticipated a budget for 1958 of $6500. as follows: Police ........ $1,500. Fire.......... 300. Legal......... 1,300. Loan.......... 2 Secretarial... 400. M isc.......... 1,000. 36,500.
