VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLOPTDA
At 9:30 AM, Tuesday, November 11, 195$ the twelfth meeting of the Councilmen
of the Village of Tequesta, Florida was held at the Teaue sta, Inc. office at Village
Square, Jupiter, Florida. Those present were John P. Kurtz, C. W. Pietz,
Albert D. Alderman, Thomas H. Daly, William Cook and W. F. Lathrop.
Ordinances 15 and 16 were read and unanimously approved by the Councilmen.
Same are attached hereto.
A motion was duly made and passed acknowledging Flo -Gas Corporation's letter
of November 10, 1955 accepting franchise ordinance #13.
A motion was duly made and passed acknowledging Florida Public Utilities Cots
letter of November 10, 1955 accepting franchise ordinance #14.
Mr. Cook was requested to prepare an ordinance making the Village of Tequesta
a bird sanctuary.
There was a lengthy discussion on pros and cons of the possible expansion of
the Village of Tequesta. Mr. Kurtz and Mr. Lathrop agreed to contact the adjacent
landowners and to detemine who wishes to join the Village. Mr. Cook is to
prepare a list of advantages for submission to the adjacent landowners. If the
Village is expanded, it was decided to change its name.
To improve relations with the County officials, Mayor Kurtz was al3ked to
invite them to luncheon and golf at the Country Club.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 11:15 AM.
