VILLAGE OF TEnUESTA, FLORIDA
At 9:30 AM , Tuesday, March Z0, 1959, the regular meeting of the Councilmen
of the Village of Teouesta was held at the Teouesta, Inc. office at Village Souare,
Jupiter, Florida. Those present were: J.P. Kurtz, Albert Alderman., C. W. Pietz,
Thomas H. Daly, William Lord and 4. F. Lathrop.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
There was a general discussion on the possibility of Bob White becoming the
Village Building Inspector, and Mr. Alderman and Mr. Lathrop will meet with him
to work out details.
On motion duly made and seconded, the price for occupational licenses was
increased to 850. per year, and no 6 month licenses are to be issued in the future.
This becomes effective immediately.
Mr. Lord, the Village Attorney, submitted to the councilmen a proposed
agreement between the Village, Teouesta, Inc. and Palm Beach County in and by which
the Village would assume the obligation and responsibility of maintaining Teouesta
Drive; Palm Beach County would release Teouesta, Inc. from its bond; and Palm y
Beach County would release any right, title or interest in and to said Teouesta
Drive.
After discussion and the councilmen being reminded that they had approved
such action at the January meeting, it was, upon motion duly made, seconded and
unanimously passed, agreed that the Mayor and the Clerk be authorized to execute
said agreement.
Mr. Lord was requested to contact Southern Bell. and advise them that no
occupational license is required once we have entered into a Franchise Agreement
with them. He was also to inquire of them the status of consumer tax which they
are meant to be collecting on our behalf.
It was agreed that we would contact all utilities as to the new boundaries
of the Village as soon as Painter and Village Souare were taken in.
The Clerk was instructed to purchase county zoning maps so the boundaries of
the town could be properly shown.
It was agreed that at the next meeting we would discuss actual hiring of
employees for the Village and office rental space. At that time we will also
discuss services we can offer the taxpayers.
The Clerk was instructed to contact the Cornelius Insurance Company and have
them immediately cover the Village for Liability and Property Damage Insurance.
The Clerk was also instructed to have them secure a bond for the officers requiring
bonds.
It was recommended that we review at the next meeting the building code
ordinances as well as the contractors licenses ordinance.

Mr. Lord preserted copies of the present zoning and Planning Ordinance of Palm
Beach, which will be studied for consideration at a future meeting.
A motion was made and passed to have our Chief of Police join the Police and
Sheriff's Association of North America.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:25 AM.
