OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA
At 9,30 A. M., Tuesday, March S, 1960, the regular meeting
of the Councilmen of the Village of Tequesta was held at the Village
Office at Village Square Shopping Center, Tequesta, Florida. Those
present were; John P. Kurtz, Walter F. Lathrop, Thomas Daly, Al Alder-
man., Attorney William A. Lord and Robert Harp.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Treasurer's report showed a balance of $7,955.17 at February
29, 1960.
A 1eng %hy discussion was held concerning the proper procedure
for issuance of Occupational Licenses in the future, It was the general
feeling of the councilmen that all applicants for new Village of Tequesta
Occupational Licenses and all applicants requesting renewal of their
expiring Occupational Licenses should have successfully completed ex-
amination for their particular trade given by the City of West Palm
Beach, Florida. With this thought in mind, the following resolution was
unanimously adopted;
"NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED;
Thatmall contractors, general and sub, making application
for new Village of Tequesta Occupational Licenses or making application
for renewal of their expiring Occupational Licenses, must have have
successfully passed the City of West Palm Beach Contractors Examination
for License and have been certified to the Village by the Examining
Board before the Village of Tequesta will issue an Occupational
License."
Since examinations are only given every 60 days by the City
of West Pdm Beach Examining Board, temporary Occupational Licenses will
be issued and in effect until applicant can take the examination. The
regular license fee of $50.00 must be paid and in event applicant does
not receive certification from the examining board, applicant will be
permitted to complete the job he is currently working on and cost of
license will be refunded to him pro -rata upon completion of this job.
It was moved and unanimously agreed that Thomas L. Mackey
office be paid %500.00 for map of Corporate Limits of Village of Tequesta.
It was moved and unanimously agreed that Village will pay
Chief of Police Wiard P. Dahlmeyerts salary in full at rW e of $90.00
per week.
Attorney Lord will check into legality of various uses of
Police Car in event Village should purchase it.
Assistant Clerk is to have Police Chief obtain an appraisal
value of Police Car.

were read and unanimously passed and adopted on first reading.
The council unanimously adopted a tax leyy of i mill for
the year 1960.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned
at 10;50 A. M..
