MINUTES
At 9 :30 A.M., Tuesday, May 10, 1960, the regular monthly
meeting of the Councilmen of the Village of 1'e uesta was held at
the Village Office at Village Square Shopping center, Tequesta,
Florida. Those present were: W.F. Lathrop, J. P. Kurtz, Zeke
Cornelius, Robert yalier, Robert Harp and Bill Jackson, Atdborney
from Winters, Cook!: Brackett and Lord.
Minutes of the previous meeting wrer read and approved.
Financial report was read and approved showing mash balance
of $8,002.57 at April 30, 1960. April disbursements were approved.

Council unanimously agreed to provide Federal uld Age and
Sur vivoibs Insurance (OASI) for Public Em:)loyees for employees of
the Village, if they so desire. Clerk was authorized to take necessary
steps to provide this coverage.
A letter from Police Uhief Wiard P. Deh lmeyer, requesting
permission to fingerprint and issue I. D. cards to all employees
of 1 'equesta Country Club,those presently employed and any others who
might be employed in the future and permanently employed domestic
help who work in Tequesta. Permission was granted by council. Chief.
Dahlmeyer was also authorized to purchase Finger Print s lit and Metal
Filing Cabinet and such other sipplies necessary for this project.

Data concerning various types of street lightlng available
to Village is to be obtained from Florida Power and Light Company.
It was feeling of Council that Village should have authority
to annex lands into the Village and that recently elected Charter
board should consider new Annexation procedures available and a
review of the entire Village Charter.
It was unanimously agreed that engineer from °'lackey office should
inspect Jupiter in the Pines Roads now being constructed and drainage
previously installed to see that both conform to at least county
s-oecifications.
Council authorized the Jupiter %blunteer Fire ''epartment to
solicit funds for new fire truck fund in VillEge of 'Tequesta.

Mayor is to contact John R. Sutton, Jr. to attend next
Council meeting and discuss his ideas with them on proper police
and fire policies for the V illEg e.
Clerk is to obtain price for center lining Tequesta Drive
from U.S. 1 to Riverside Drive.
Mayo r was authorized to look into availability and costs
of possilvle lands for future location of Town Hall and recreational
area.
Clerk was instructed to segregate Ordinances and resolutions
into seperate books statting 'liay 10, 1960.
Mayor was instructed to invite Zoning Director of Pal m
-beach County to next council meeting to discuss zoning of the
Village,
Mayor was authorized to write lette r to Mr. Richard D. Hill
Florida Power and Light C%o., to request a franchise agreement be-
tween Village of 'Tequesta and - ''lorida Power and Light Co.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned
at 11;00 A.M
