Re: Good Shepherd Episcopal Church and School Variance and Special Exception Requests

(n foltow up of our conversation, below is a highlight of the keti� facts relati��e to the requests to add the
Resource Roorn Addition.
1) The 1,997 squa►•e f'out additian containing two resource rooms (Science and Art), t���o administrati�e
offiees, and toilet room & AHI� Storage, adds no students or staff to the School. ,-�nd the school
enrollment is in fact limited b�� the state of Florida school licensing cJepartment. The addition is simpl�� tu
enrich the quality of the education of the students. Further, by ackno�vledging the non-concurrent use of
the existing parking, the number of code reyuired spaces for the school, including the proposed addition,
is more than adequate.
2) To assure there ���ill be no issue with automobile stacking at afternoon student pickup, the tiered release
of the students, done as a trial the last t�vo `veeks of this school ��ear, is being implemented as a polic} far
the next school vear.
3) To address the ezisting degraded hedge abutting the shopping center to the south, as part of the approv�l,
Gooct Shepherd will plant new matching shrubs to supplement the eaisting hedge, to �11 in the gaps that
have developed over the years.
