OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA
COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD
AUGUST 21, 1985
A meeting of the Village of Tequesta Community Appearance Board was
held at 9:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 21, 1985 in the Village Hall, 357 Tequesta
Drive, Tequesta, Florida.
Board members present were: Nagle, Ricci and Sundermann and Alternate
Member: Ruth Butterfield.
Also present were: R. Harp, Clerk of the Board and Scott D. Ladd,
Building Official.
Nagle, Vice Chairman, read the Notice of the Meeting.
The first item for consideration was consideration of the application
of Gene $ Bob Foster Builders, Inc. for remodeling of the facade of the East
Building (Satellite Building), Lighthouse Plaza tabled from the August 14, 1985
meeting. Bob Foster and Bill Hamilton were in attendance representing the
owner, Roebling Inc. of New York. The Building Official provided the Board
with stained pieces of Cedar Wood the same color as to be used, a colored
drawing of the project and color photographs of the Fireside Inn, whose colors
are being matched for this project. Hamilton noted the colors were mixed
from actual samples taken from the Fireside Inn. Hamilton also noted the
signs for the stores will be submitted later but will be uniform. The colors
are basically light cream with the valance for the lighting being dark brown.
Nagle asked what the paint was and was advised it was a solid stain which
holds up much better than regular stain. Ricci moved, second by Sundermann
"that the plans for the remodeling of the facade of the East Building
(Satellite Building) of Lighthouse Plaza be approved as submitted. The vote
on the motion was:.
Ricci - for
Sundermann - for
Nagle - for
R. Butterfield - for
and the motion therefore passed. The Board then signed plans Richard E.
Teagle, P.E., Soffit and Facia replacement east wing of Plaza Lighthouse,
Date 7 -8 -85, Drawing Number 7185 -1.
The next item for consideration was signage for the front of the
Village Hall, the proposed sign is to read: "Tequesta Village Hall" on the
east side and "Police" on the west side, 12" high standard block letters,
black color, to stand off from the wall with high out put fluorescent light
fixtures for each sign. Mayor Stoddard said the signing was made necessary
because the existing free standing sign is not visible to traffic due to its
height and the fact that parked cars obstruct the view of it. A plan for the
sign was shown. Ricci moved, second by Sundermann "that the plans for the

Village Hall signage be approved as submitted." The vote on the motion was:

Sundermann - for
Nagle - for
R. Butterfield - for
and the motion therefore passed. The Board then signed the plans for the
signs.
Stoddard asked for suggestions from the Board as to plantings along
the fence on the east side of the Village Green and Nagle suggested the Board
walk to the site to see what suggestions might be made.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:20 A.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Robert Harp
