HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_Miscellaneous_09/25/1985_Community Appearance Board S MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD SEPTEMBER 25, 1985 A meeting of the Village of Tequesta Community Appearance Board was held at 5:00 P.M., Wednesday, Sept. 25, 1985 in the Village Hall, 357 Tequesta Dr., Tequesta, Florida. Board members present were: Cook, Ricci and alternate member Butterfield. Board members absent were: Smith and Coben. Also present were: Scott D. Ladd, Acting Clerk of the Board Ricci, acting as Chairman, read the notice of the meeting. The first item for consideration was the application of Peter G. Makris for a 6' X 16' frame addition to Peter's Restaurant, 209 Tequesta Drive. Larry Toney was in attendance representing the applicant. The acting clerk layed out two sets of engineered drawings as prepared by Joseph O'Neill, P.E. showing the scope of proposed work to be performed. Larry Toney described what the scope of work would be and answered board members questions. He stated that the style of construction and color schemes would be the same as the existing bui.ldi,ng. Mr. Toney also stated that the wood fence along the east property line was being repaired. Butterfield moved, second by Cook "to approve the application as submitted ". The vote on the motion was: Cook For Ricci For Butterfield For and the motion therefore passed. The board then signed the two sets of plans for an addition for "Peters Private Club ", plans dated Sept. '85. The next item for consideration was the application of City Signs, acting as agent for the "Brass Connection, Ltd. ", for an 18" X 18' sign for 140 Bridge Road (owner of property: Frank Sullivan). The acting clerk layed out two sets of drawings wi.th. color chips as prepared by James Whittle of City Signs. Mr. Wh_i.ttle was present to describe the scope of work proposed and to answer questions from the board. Mr. Whittle explained that the sign would be mounted just underneath the mansard roof projection. The acting clerk stated that the proposed sign met the technical requirements of the sign code. Cook moved, second by Butterfield "to approve the application as submitted ". The vote on the motion was.: Cook For Ricci For Butterfield for Community Appearance Board Meeting Minutes Sept. 25, 1985 Page 2 and the motion therefore passed. The board then signed the two sets of drawings as prepared by James Whittle of City Signs: There being no other applicants to come before the board, the meeting was adjourned at 5:13 P.M.
